
Ioulios Georgiou is an architect and computational designer, who grew up in Cyprus and South Africa. His work focuses on the overlap of architectural design, computation and digital fabrication. He studied architecture at TU Berlin and has worked professionally as an architect in Berlin, Germany for 4 years. Large part of his experience was the planning and coordination of high-profile international projects at KEC Architekten. In 2020 he pursued a Master of Advanced Studies at ETH Zurich , focusing on digital design and robotic fabrication in architecture.
Academically, he has been involved in research and teaching at the University of Nicosia. He teaches at both post- and undergraduate level at the Department of Architecture, as well as at the postgraduate level at the Department of Digital Innovations.
Since 2021, he has also been working as a computational architect and project manager for Horizon Legacy, offering consulting services for additive manufacturing and concrete 3D-printing at a large -scale.
In 2022 he founded the architecture studio IALVI in Lemesos, Cyprus. The studio focuses on the architectural design and development of projects from the residential and hospitality sector.
Ioulios is a certified member of the Chamber of Architects in Berlin (Architektenkammer) and the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber ETEK. He is also an Authorized Rhino3D Trainer (ART) from McNeel.
