The object of this competition was to design a war bunker in 24 hours. The concept of my proposal was to use the waters against war. The sea can provide safety in its depth and a great natural camouflage, especially from aerial strikes. The people can get to the bunker with their families by boat and by entering the transparent cylindrical entrance towers, which also function as a ventilation system. The prototype can be applied in the mediterranean sea, as a stopping point for rest for refugees but it can also be applied in cities.
Cities, which do not have an underground railway system or bunkers built from the second world war, could use the prototype in their rivers or sea fronts. The modules contain dorms, common areas and sanitary facilities, they can be mass produced and connected to each other like a chain. This way ,an underwater network can be created, where friends and families are not torn apart but stay next to each other, which is the most essential thing in times of war.
