As part of a ten year old tradition at the Architecture Department of UNIC, a Chirstmas Tree is built from the second year students.

The tree was designed by the faculty and assembled by the students. The tree is a waffle structure consisting of circular vertical elements, connected to radial curved panels. The geometry was parametrically designed in Grasshopper, using sine curves for the rotation of the circles and attractor spirals for the curvature of the panels.

The elements were laser cut at the F-Lab of UNIC and were then assembled as shown in the time-lapse video:
